Wheeler named Boyle County Middle School principal

WheelerWe are pleased to announce Brian Wheeler has been selected as the new principal of Boyle County Middle School. Mr. Wheeler has served in the district for the past 18 years.  The first nine years, Brian served as a 5th grade teacher at Junction City Elementary School.  For the last nine years Mr. Wheeler has served as assistant principal of Boyle County Middle School. He will take the helm on July 1, 2020. Mr. Wheeler was selected from a talented candidate pool with input from parents and staff.  

“The greatest indicator of future success is past success. After nine years of success as an assistant principal, Brian is poised to take on this new challenge,” stated Superintendent Michael LaFavers.

Mr. Wheeler is a proud alumnus of the district, having attended Perryville Elementary, Boyle County Middle School, and Boyle County High School. He lives in the Boyle community with his wife, Nicole, and two children, Ella and Lydia. Nicole teaches at Boyle County High School.

“I am thankful for this opportunity and am excited to get started,” commented Mr. Wheeler. “I have been fortunate to work with wonderful staff and I am very much looking forward to continuing to do so.”
