Four Boyle County High School (BCHS) students have been selected to participate in the 2022 Kentucky Governor’s School for the Arts (GSA), and two have been chosen for the Governor’s School for Entrepreneurs (GSE).
BCHS juniors Tristan Harris, Laura Beth Oliver and River Wise will be joined by sophomore Emery Larson at GSA. Harris and Oliver were selected for drama, Larson for musical theatre and Wise for instrumental music/percussion.
GSA provides hands-on arts opportunities for the state's talented high school students who are dancers, actors, instrumental and vocal musicians, creative writers, future architects or visual artists.
BCHS junior Carly Durham and sophomore Kristine Tran were chosen to attend GSE this summer.
GSE teaches the opportunities, benefits and pitfalls of taking a business concept from the idea phase to pitching it to potential investors.
