Supply Chain Issues + School Meals - What Parents Need to Know

School Nutrition Association

The BoCo Meals team is working hard to continue to provide kid-approved, nutritious breakfast and lunch meals for FREE to ALL KIDS enrolled in the district this year, despite massive supply chain disruptions in our region. There are challenges in all parts of the supply chain: from production to processing, packaging, transportation and distribution.

Please bear with us as our menus change with little or no notice. Many of our favorite menu items are out of stock at this time, and/or products are being removed from delivery trucks due to labor shortages. We are substituting with new items that are available to us each week and are facing quantity limitations on our orders. The BoCo Meals team has been fortunate to stick close to our normal menu. However, we recognize there may come a time that this is not possible. Menu items may have to be rotated more frequently due to availability, and condiments may become very sparse. We are making every effort to communicate changes to students at the school level. Thank you for the opportunity to serve your child(ren) this year!

We are looking for friendly, caring, hard-working individuals to join the BoCo Meals team as full-time cooks at BCHS, BCMS and JCES, and substitutes at all schools. Cooks follow the school calendar and have health insurance benefits. Learn more and apply online.
