House Bill Allows All Learners to Return to In-person School

HB 208

House Bill 208 was signed into law by the Governor on March 4, 2021. Among other things, this law requires Kentucky public schools to allow any virtual or self-paced student to return to in-person learning this school year.

While families were asked to make a semester commitment for their student's desired learning mode, Boyle County Schools will abide by this law and welcome back to the classroom any virtual or self-paced student.

If your virtual or self-paced student would like to attend in-person school*, please contact your child’s school administrator directly.

Furthermore, if your in-person student would like to switch to virtual or self-paced, you’re welcome to do that at this time, too. Please contact your child’s school administrator for details.

*Please be advised it may take up to a week for the change to take effect, as class rosters, seating arrangements and charts, food service/lunch space and assignments, transportation, etc. must all be consulted and updated.
