On Friday, USDA released new COVID-19 Child Nutrition responses, which include allowing the use of SFSP for school meals through the 2020-2021 school year. The full release is available here.
These flexibilities allow our school district and others across the country to continue to provide free meals to all students through the end of June 2021 under the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP). All students enrolled in the Boyle County School District will receive breakfast and lunch meals at no charge through June.
The meal pattern for the SFSP does differ from the meal pattern that we follow during the normal school year. You can learn more about the meal patterns here. Please know that Boyle County Schools strives to exceed the meal pattern, offering children more food than is required.
