NEW ANNOUNCEMENT!!  We WILL be able to fill all wait list requests for extra tickets. These will be distributed on Monday, April 22, 9:00 am - 4:00 pm. If you want your graduate to pick up these tickets, please email or text Mrs. Michael (susan.michael2@boyle.kyschools.us; 859-319-6486)

GRADUATION DATE - The 2019 Graduation Date will be Saturday, May 25, 2019. The Commencement ceremony will begin at 7:30 pm.

  • Saturday, May 25 - Commencement Ceremony at 7:30 pm

GRADUATION TICKETS: Once again, we find ourselves with a very large graduating class! This distinction has created a situation where we must limit guests for each graduate in order to adhere to the safety standards designated by the Fire Marshal. The graduation ceremony will be a ticket-only event. ALL guests of ANY age will be required to have a ticket to attend graduation in the gymnasium. Any guest arriving without a ticket will be seated in the cafeteria where we will have a live broadcast of the ceremony. We realize this is not ideal for some families, however, it is a necessary step. Our goal is to ensure that the families of our graduates are able to see their child graduate while maintaining a safe and orderly event.

Every graduating senior has been allotted up to 8 tickets. Our initial distribution was Wednesday, April 10. Parents/guardians who were unable to pick up their tickets on Wednesday may stop by the school office during normal school hours to collect their tickets. Wait list tickets are being release on Monday, April 22, beginning at 9:00 am. All tickets need to be picked up by April 29!! Please note:

  • Tickets will be released only to parent/guardian unless Mrs. Michael has been notified that it is okay to release to graduate.
  • We will not be able to replace any lost tickets, and tickets must be fully in tact when presented at the door. Please secure your tickets in a safe place!!


Seating for guests with special needs (i.e. wheelchairs, walkers, oxygen tanks, hearing impaired) will be taken through May 10th.  Forms will be distributed at ticket distribution and are available below. Please follow directions on the request form and return no later than May 10th. We cannot guarantee seating for any guests with special needs who did not turn in a form.

GRADUATION PORTRAITS: Graduation photo package order forms are available in the front office and below. This is a great way to support Project Graduation while securing professional portraits of your graduate! 30% of all sales go directly to Project Graduation! All order forms are due by Friday, May 17.

Please note: If you choose not to order a graduation photo package, but would still like an individual studio-type portrait taken of your graduate at practice, please be sure your graduate knows to take the individual portrait, as this will be optional for the graduates who did not purchase the package

GRADUATION VIDEOS: Graduation video order forms are available in the front office and below. This is yet another way to support Project Graduation, as 30% of all sales go directly to Project Graduation. All order forms are due by Friday, May 17.

SENIOR TRIP: The 2019 Senior Trip will be on Friday, May 17, 2019. Only those seniors who have turned in a permission form and money will attend. (Please note: The deadline was March 29 - we cannot accept any more forms) Seniors will need to arrive by 7:30 am for check-in and departure. It will be important to be on time! Seniors will travel to King's Island for a day of fun in the park, and should return about 9:00 pm.

BACCALAUREATE SERVICE: A Baccalaureate service will be held in honor of the Class of 2019 at the Lexington Avenue Baptist Church; Danville, KY at 6:30 pm on Sunday, May 19. This is a Christian service led by 2019 graduates and is always an uplifting service! Although not mandatory for our graduates, we do encourage our graduates and their families to attend! There will be a reception held in the fellowship hall of the church after the service. This is a favorite time for our graduates and their families - a time to enjoy their friends before the chaos of graduation! UPDATE! The FCA is catering the reception. Senior parents, please just come and enjoy!!  Seniors will need to arrive at 6:00 in full graduation attire (cap/gown/tassel & dress clothes/shoes)! 

SENIOR AWARDS NIGHT  has been set for Monday, May 20th, 7:00 pm, at the First Baptist Church on the Danville Bypass. Seniors, please be sure to report any and all academic scholarships to the guidance office on the form you received by May 8th.


A mandatory, full-dress rehearsal will be held on Wednesday, May 22, at 8:00 am until 12 noon. ALL graduates planning to participate in the commencement ceremony MUST attend the FULL practice. If a graduate does not attend, he/she will be removed from the lineup. Honor regalia for honor students (final gpa of 3.5 or above) will be given out from 7:30 am until 8 am. Honor students, please arrive early!  Honor regalia is based on FINAL, CUMULATIVE (all 4 years) GPA. Since this is not posted to transcript until the year concludes, please see Mrs. Michael if you need to know your status. It is very important that graduates wear full graduation attire, as individual and group portraits will be taken at practice.


The 56th annual Commencement Ceremony will take place in the Boyle County High School gymnasium at promptly 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 25, 2019. Please note the following:

  • Doors will be open at 6:30 pm - all guests of any age must enter through the front doors and must have a full ticket (with stub attached). Any guests without a ticket may sit in the cafeteria where we will have a live video feed.
  • Seniors need to arrive by 6:45 pm and proceed to the lineup area (English hallway)
  • Please plan to arrive and sit together with your entire party - saving seats is not permitted.
  • Only our graduating seniors and the Senior Team Leaders are permitted in the lineup area. 
  • All guests should be in their seats no later than 7:20 to allow us to utilize the lobby areas to prepare our graduates for an on-time graduation!
  • All photography must be from your seats. We do not permit any guests on the gym floor during our ceremony.
  • Please limit response to individual graduates to hearty applause and refrain from loud noises or shoutouts. We want to insure that the announcement of every graduate's name is heard and each receives the deserved recognition. Please save your rambunctious cheering for the tassel ceremony, at which time we hope you will cheer wildly for ALL of our graduates!
  • Be sure to silence cell phones during the ceremony.
  • Out of respect for our graduates, please remain in/at your seats until every graduate has exited, and then make your way to the front lawn for our celebration with fireworks! Please do not linger by the front doors, but continue to the lawn so all guests can exit the building and make their way to the lawn!

PROJECT GRADUATION: Plans for Project Graduation are in full swing! The Donations, Entertainment and Food Committees are working to insure that our graduates will have an exciting, safe & sober night of fun, food and prizes after their commencement ceremony!  All graduate parents are invited to help, but must be registered in advance. Sign up now to become a part of the fun!  Forms will be distributed during ticket distribution and are also available below. Parent volunteer forms must be received by Friday, May 10.

Permission slips for graduates have been distributed to seniors and must be completed and turned in by Friday, April 19.  ONLY graduating seniors who participate in our ceremony, have turned in the permission form, and whose name appears on the Final Attendance List will be admitted into Project Graduation. Seniors are responsible for checking the list which will be posted after the deadline.
