Boyle County Preschool Information

Enrollment Requirements

Your child must have the following documents prior to entering school:

  • Valid Birth Certificate
  • KY Certificate of Immunization
  • School Entry Physical Examination Form
  • Social Security Number
  • KY Eye Examination
  • Current (working) Emergency Contact Phone Number

Four Year Old Preschool Program

  • The Boyle County School District provides a half-day preschool pogram for children who will be four years old by August 1st.
  • Transportation is available for eligible students Monday-Thursday. Placement in the morning or afternoon preschool session depends upon the child's bus route.
  • Preschool Classes are held Monday-Thursday with an individualized schedule for "Ramp-Up Friday"

Tuition

Tuition paying children will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis. Dual-session enrollment Monday-Friday is also available for paying students on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Four year olds may qualify for free tuition if they meet the following criteria:

  • Income Eligible
  • Eligible for Speech and Language Services
  • Eligible for Special Needs Services 

Three Year Old Preschool Program

Three year olds may qualify if they are eligible for special needs intervention services.

The concept of understanding written numbers, using math in daily events, and using manipulatives is very important in preschool. Through songs, free play, and small groups, our preschool teachers incorporate mathematics on a daily basis.


Our Typical Day

  • Opening Large Group Circle Time (Calendar, Weather, Music/Movement, Plan for the Day)
  • Work Time in Learning Centers (Intentional teaching as students create)
  • Small Group Instruction
  • Gross Motor Play (outdoors, weather permitting)
  • Story Time
  • Snack 
  • Large Group Circle Time (Music/Movement, Review for the day)
