DATE SET FOR 2018-2019 SPORTS PHYSICALS Sports Physicals Scheduled

Sports Physicals for the 2018-2019 school year will be held on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 from 5:30pm - 7:30pm for $10.  The event will be held at Ephraim McDowell Family and Internal Medicine located (across the street from the Bunny Davis Tennis Courts) at 105 Ponder Court, Suite 104, Danville, Kentucky. 

BOYLE COUNTY SCHOOLS CLOSED TODAY News Release

The Boyle County school district is closed today due to a high volume of staff absences. By early this morning, one fourth of the district’s teachers had reported that they would not be at school today.

Annual Football Rivalry Game Moved to Thursday at 7:00 Boyle County Rebel Football

Boyle County High School and Danville High School officials have rescheduled their annual rivalry football game for Thursday, August 31, at 7:00 p.m. The game will be played at Danville’s Admiral Stadium.

Boyle County Schools' Eclipse Plan Certified eclipse glasses will be provided

On August 21, 2017, the moon will pass between the earth and the sun for the first coast-to-coast total solar eclipse since 1918. Millions of Americans in 12 states will watch day turn to night for a few minutes during this solar spectacle.

Boyle County School Dismissal to be Delayed for Eclipse Eclipse viewing glasses have arrived!

DANVILLE, KY – AUGUST 11, 2017 – Boyle County Schools will delay all school dismissals by one hour on Monday, August 21, to allow students to experience “The Great American Eclipse.”

Information regarding 7th/8th grade ChromeBooks (pick-ups and health checks):

ALL 7th and 8th grade students who participated in our "Pilot" Summer ChromeBook program will need to come by BCMS on Tuesday, August 8th for your device health check. Please remember to bring both your charger and Chromebook.

If you didn't take home a device this summer, you may pick up your ChromeBook and charger on this same date. If you are unable to come on this date, devices will be distributed on the first day of school.

Please remember that you must have your $50 school fees paid and an AUP (acceptable use policy) on file.

Information regarding 6th grade ChromeBooks pick-ups

ALL 6th grade students will be receiving a NEW ChromeBook to use at BCMS this school year. You must have your $50 school fees paid, DDL (Digital Drivers License) completed and a BCMS AUP (acceptable use policy) on file. Fees and forms may be paid and turned in on Wednesday, August 9th at BCMS.

ChromeBooks will be distributed to 6th grade students on the second day of school through Social Studies classes.

New enrollments only. If you were at a Boyle County school last year, you just need to come pick up your schedule on August 8th and 9th.

Please bring a copy of :

  • birth certificate,
  • a parent picture identification,
  • two proofs of residency,
  • a current certificate of immunization,
  • a copy of student's social security card,
  • and an up to date physical.

The Boyle County Board of Education approved a plan to amend the 2017 - 2018 school calendar at a special called meeting on Thursday, April 12. The plan shifts the last day of school for students to May 31, accounting for four non-traditional instruction days and eight school closure days.

2018-2019 SCHOOL CALENDAR RELEASED 2018 -2019 School Calendar Released

The Board of Education approved the 2018-2019 calendar at its regular monthly meeting on December 21.

NEW CHILD IMMUNIZATION REQUIREMENTS New Immunization Requirements Released

Beginning July 1, 2018, all students in preschool through 12th grade must show proof of having received two doses of the Hepatitis A vaccine to attend school. In addition, students aged 16 years or older must show proof of having received two doses of the Meningococcal ACWY (MenACWY) vaccine. If the first dose of MenACWY was received at age 16 or older, the second dose is not required for school entry.
