Bid for Black and Gold T-shirts

Boyle County Schools Invitation to Bid The Boyle County Board of Education will accept bids in its Central Office until 10:00 AM, Monday, April 10, 2017, for the t-shirts for the 2017 Black and Gold Academy. Specifications may be obtained at the central office (Back of the Middle School Location, Door 8), 1651 Perryville Road, Danville, Kentucky, beginning March 20, 2017 and after that date during the office hours of 8:00 AM to 4:00 pm Monday through Friday, until the time mentioned above. Bids will be opened at 11:00 AM on April 10, 2017. The Board reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids. Stephen Tamme, Chairperson Mike Lafavers, Secretary


Bid for Surplus

The Boyle County School System will be soliciting sealed bids beginning on Monday, March 20, 2017 to Monday, April 10, 2017 on surplus items including but not limited to the following: Metro holding cabinet, scotsman ice machine and bin, set of bleachers, softball jerseys, copiers, assorted electronic equipment, TV, and other items– can be viewed school days from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM by contacting Central Office at 859-236-6634. Sealed bids will be accepted until 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 10, 2017 at the central office (Boyle County Middle School, Door 8), 1651 Perryville Road, Danville, Kentucky. 4 BCHS Students Named 2017 National Merit Finalists National Merit Finalists

Four BCHS Seniors were named as 2017 National Merit Finalists! 

This honor is given to only 16,000 of the 1.6 million high school students across the country for exceptional PSAT scores. These students are in the running for the 2017 National Merit Scholarships.

Our finalists are: Anna Duncan, Kate Leahey, Wesley Wei, and Taylor Whitsell.

Students Dominate Regional Forensics Tournament Lucas Ross and Joshua Bishop

 

The Boyle County Forensics Team traveled to SCAPA in Lexington for the Bluegrass Regional Tournament on Saturday. It was a great day for the team with seven students reaching the finals. The biggest victory belonged to Lucas Ross and Joshua Bishop as they were named Regional Champions in the Duo Interpretation category. This is a very difficult acting category that requires choreographed movement and teamwork as well as memorization and acting. They triumphed over finalists from SCAPA, Danville High School, and Dunbar High School.

Other winners included:
Micah Fowler and William Rayens - Duo Improvisation
Alyssa Wray - Personal Oral Interpretation
McKenzie Stearman - Prose
Canaan Coffman - Prose
